CONCRETE CITY is a rock & roll band from Baltimore, Maryland. Formed in 2019, temporarily distracted by a global health crisis and a drummer AWOL in New Orleans, the band used their HR-approved COVID sick leave to self-produce their debut album "LOVERS IN LOVE WITH NOTHING" for Ashtray Monument Collective. CONCRETE CITY calls the music "power-pop for a disappointing world;" the egghead who wrote the album's liner notes calls it "momentary rock," and that fits, too. Bold bursts of guitar, fuzz bass, and harmonies, equal parts passion and exasperation, telling stories about the discrete, desperate moments of the workaday world. Strong feelings about small things. Small amps pushed very, very hard. Heavy music for heavy hearts. Can "heavy" float on air or soar through the sky? Sure it can.
